ResIST Researcher elected to the European Parliament
A member of the ResIST team, Marisa Matias, was elected to membership of the European Parliament in the elections held in Portugal on 7 June 2009. Marisa, who works in the ResIST team in CES in the University of Coimbra, has worked on issues of public participation in relation to priority-setting and accountability in S&T, and carried out fieldwork in Brazil, Portugal and Spain. Her work can be found in the Results section of this website, in papers produced in years 1 and 2 of the project. Marisa, who also worked with members of the ResIST team on an earlier European study, STAGE, will be part of the European United Left Group (GUE/NGL) in the Parliament.
