ResIST’s three world regional meetings engage with policymakers and analysts
ResIST's first world regional meeting was opened by the Mozambique Minister of Science and Technology in Maputo in November 2006. Since then we have also held meetings in Rio de Janeiro and Istanbul.
The first purpose of the the meetings has been to exchange information with policymakers and practitioners on the problems and issues in each world region so as to focus the ResIST project and wherever possible draw on local knowledge and cases in our research. ResIST's first year's discussion papers illustrate the value of these exchanges.
We are also working to enlist analysts, policymakers and practitioners from the world regional meetings in continuing exchanges with the research team in order to improve the quality and relevance of our outputs
